Why Farnell element14 is proud to support Startupbootcamp IoT | Connected Devices

In March 2016, Farnell element14 formally announced its partnership with Startupbootcamp IoT | Connected Devices, a dedicated accelerator program offering support, mentorship and investment opportunities to global tech startups working in Consumer or Industrial IoT.

Since then, nine startups from around the world have been accepted onto the program, relocating their teams to a new shared lab and office space in London, where they will spend three months taking advantage of a wide variety of opportunities to develop their products and prepare to launch onto the global market.

Over the years Farnell element14 has played a key role in bringing major electronic products to market, including Raspberry Pi, CodeBug and the BBC Micro:bit. Partnering with Startupbootcamp IoT | Connected Devices to help these nine entrepreneurial teams to take their IoT concepts to the next level is another example of our commitment to supporting fresh solutions and innovations at every level of the industry.

Since November, the startups have been working hard to make connections, undertake market research and finalise their prototypes. Their experience will culminate with a demo day on 25th January 2017, where they will have the opportunity to pitch to over 400 investors, corporates, mentors and members of the press.

In addition to providing product support and key services, Farnell element14 has also been following the startups throughout the program. You can track their progress in our dedicated space on the element14 community, where the startups are able to showcase their products for our online community of over 425,000 professional engineers, makers, educators and hobbyists.
